I started in the field in 1997 working at ResCare in an ICF at the age of 19. While working and going to college at Kent State, I found I had a passion for working with people with autism and wanted to have a better understanding of what autism was, so I transferred my major to Psychology. My employment continued in the field transitioning to Supported Living and becoming a Home Manager. Upon graduating from Kent State, I took a position as a QIDP over the ICFs I originally started in. Being able to go back as a supervisor over the people that I originally started with was an awesome opportunity. I transitioned back into Supported Living where I was promoted to Support Coordinator. During this transition is when I began working with Cody through a mutual person we both provided services to. In 2012, I resigned from ResCare and became a contracted employee at Amoré Services for Cody. In 2013, I was hired as Executive Director of Amoré Services. Together, Cody and I continued to grow the company while continuing to support our employees and people we help. In 2015, after much research and preparation, we opened an Adult Day Services/Vocational Habilitation location.

I personally take alot of pride in where Amoré Services is today. Cody's beliefs and mine are very much in line with each other and has allowed us to be a great team for everyone associated with Amoré Services.

The relationships and bonds you create working direct care is hard to describe, but the feeling is amazing. Everyone I have helped over the years has helped me to become a better person and caregiver. I am still involved on a weekly basis with 2 ladies I started working with for over 25 years now.

Having worked my way up in the field, and starting out providing direct care, I believe has given me a better perspective and empathy and has allowed me to support all of our employees whether providing guidance, stepping in to assist, or brainstorming for solutions.
